Day 38: Mt. Pleasant to Birch Run,
Michigan

July 28, 2004
Miles: 75
Today we finally had a bit of a tailwind. Combined with almost
dead-flat terrain and sun, it was an easy day. Not very
memorable, though. Birch Run has one of the largest outlet malls
I've been too, though its layout is disjointed. Not many photos
but here is a "flower bed":
Alma College (after another IMCB [inadequate motel continental
breakfast], I stopped in Alma for a muffin and a drink]):
Harvested wheat:
At mechanic's time this afternoon, I changed out my front tire.
It still had some tread on it, but after 2800 miles was starting to
wobble a bit.
We thought our motel might have high speed internet access because
there are ethernet jacks in the wall above our in-room desks.
Adriane tried my cable but was unsuccessful. I tried my modem
cable and was able to connect--they connected the ethernet jack to the
telephone line, very odd.
